Shattered Streams
This is an analysis paper for my final project in Prof. Chris DeLaurenti’s Sound Studies seminar in the fall of 2024. The project in question was a soundscape composition that used field recordings from rural and urban New York and used the FluCoMa sound analysis tools for Max/MSP to cross-synthesize the sounds of locations to explore the notion of hi-fi and lo-fi soundscapes in acoustic ecology. This is simply to serve as a writing sample, but the piece is uploaded below.
